Amiga Mia

The song "Still Alive" is a little past it's prime today, and in fact I could have had this up in January, but I'd been trying since then to get usage permission from Valve software, with no response at all except some positive comment from songwriter Jonathan Coulton (Thanks John!). So - I'll just recommend that everyone who likes the music either buy the game Portal, or the music CD/track downloads from Amazon. Hope you enjoy the vid.

La bodeguita me permitió rescatar esta maravilla. Roberto Carlos grabó con varios dúos, pero éste es mi favorito.

Rakim Y Ken Y - Amiga Mia

Amiga Mia by Alejandro Sanz (c) 1.998 WARNER MUSIC BENELUX S.A.

Back in the dark days of DOS computers, all you had to work with your computer were white numbers on a black screen. To do any simple function, you had to write a long line of complicated code. No GUI's! For the novice, it was horrible. Then, one day I saw a video for an Amiga 500 computer and I was hooked! Out went my crappy DOS-system and I bought an Amiga. Suddenly I could do easy lists of all my videos but most of all I could do quality video titles, animations and more. And until the iMac came out with easy digital video, THIS was the way to go! I used mine for years. Step back 20 years and visit the future with the Amiga 500 computer! (See the Amiga 2000 Demo elsewhere in my listings.) Release Date: 1987

http://www.recordedamigagames.org (Intro + outro has been included) I got my hands on the CD32 version of Darkseed and decided to record this one aswell. The floppy version of darkseed is about 6 mbs and have some speech in it and the CD32 is about 17 mbs. What's new with this version is that there is much more speech, and some changes has been made; some good, some bad. One odd thing though is that the CD32 version seem to have less colors in some scenes and animations compared to the floppy version... strange. Another thing that look bad in the CD32 version is the "FOR SALE" sign infront of the house in the outro, because in the floppy version it looked great, but in the CD32 version they have replaced the detailed text with HUGE letters "FOR SALE", they havn't even bothered to tilt them for better look. Well, you can see and compare for yourself. Ok, at closer look they have replaced the sign that the text is on aswell, and the sign is not as much tilted as the one in the floppy version, but still, they should tilt the text a bit :) The CD32 version is of course better :), more speech, some of the old voices has been replaced with new and better ones... except the alien police, his voice in the floppy version was much cooler, also the alien chick on the phone talking about the mirror, her voice was better in the floppy aswell. Also bigger and clearer text now, so they have increased the size of the text box by making the bottom a few pixels smaller to make room for the new font sized rows. Some text has been change aswell.. some for the better, others for the worse, like: Floppy version: A chilly draft blows through this decrepit living room. CD32: That's a chilly draft blowing through this decrepit old living room. I like the text in the floppy version better. So, the CD32 version is all in all better and has some good changes, but also bad ones.

http://www.recordedamigagames.org This is my first Longplay, hope you like it.

http://www.recordedamigagames.org Tough game. I had some difficulties with the last boss. I forgot to center the screen at the final boss, so it's a bit too far to the left.

http://www.myspace.com/losprisioneros This is Los Prisioneros performing "Amiga Mia" off of their album "Corazones".

http://www.recordedamigagames.org Intro+game+outro.... Really a great game this is. I think it's the funniest game on the Amiga. I more or less rushed through the game skipping 90% of all the funny talking and scenes; like the telephone on a tree in the jungle where you could call LucasArts help line and ask for hints, where babies comes from and stuff.... soooo much fun stuff in this game. So if you like adventure games, you should play this to see all the cool and fun stuff I skipped. The Amiga version is very quiet and kind of stiff. 50% or so of all the music in the PC version didn't make it to the Amiga version... and most of the backs has no animations what so ever... Still a great game though :) (The music in MI1 is way better too).

This is the intro to the Amiga game Xenon 2 by The Bitmap Brothers. I never thought a great deal of it, but for completeness sake and as no one else seems to have shown this version on YouTube yet....
