Emo started in the late 1980s in DC, and around the late 90s early 00s, twisted into a fashion, a look, more dark and melodramatic. Emo now has nothing to do with its true origin. I'm not a fan of emo, past or present, but at least know what you're talking about. Nirvana was a good band too, sucks that theyre forever associated with Kurts suicide and grunge, but still a good band.
