Comments to “David Bowie - Life On Mars?”

  1. ACESTES Says:
    brilliant! good say it!
  2. DONA Says:
    he is the great!
  3. Nevada Says:
Your logic of thinking is so unfathomably primitive! I mean, how can you say Bohemian Rhapsody is bubblegum pop?! 1st of all, Bohemian Rhapsody is significantly more complex and intricate than this song. Bohemian Rhapsody is a remarkably well written and performed song. It's one of the greatest songs ever composed. And, you say it's "Bubblegum pop"? Bubble Gum pop is like: 'Hannah Montana', 'Madona' or 'Jonas brothers' for an example... I love this song too though, just not as much.
  4. MARJETA Says:
    his pupils are great!
  5. Aviva Says:
I wish this song was on his greatest hits
  6. Rian Says:
Life on Mars is lyrical surrealism. Bohemian Rhapsody is bubblegum pop.
  7. Yaffit Says:
lol i hate bohemian rhapsody. the true brilliance of that time and rock'n'roll isn't the king or fucking queen it's fucking bowie!!!! see the truth hear it live it that's my motto!!<3333
  8. PENDRAGON Says:
I don't know. i just really love Bohemian Rhapsody and every aspect if that ingenious song. Then I heard this song, which I love, but not as much as Bo' Rhap'. What do you mean by "are you kidding" That implies Bohemian rhapsody is no good, which is ceartanly not the case! I like the intro and the outro, alot! Funny you don't considering the whole song of LOM is like that...
  9. TROPHONIUS Says:
MASTA007i: Are you kidding? This! Bohemian Rhapsody is great, but the only part worth listening to is the guitar solo, followed by "So you think you could stop me and spit in my eye". Dramatic, but . . . too over the top, maybe? LOM has equal songwriting skill but isn't quite so absurd. I don't like the slow intro and end of BR, although everyone else does, so I may be wrong! Although: I'm not sure why we should compare the two, they're so different, apart from both being classic and brilliant.
  10. Eduardo Says:
    hmm, this or Bohemian Rhapsody...?
  11. Aonghus Says:
    I love 2:45 to 2:58
  12. Creighton Says:
    just brill
  13. ALAN Says:
    gosh! bowie looks wonderful!
  14. Leopoldine Says:
    My favorite Bowie song.
  15. Liza Says:
Bowie has said in interview that this was his "My Way", go figure. Anyway, great hair, great concept Mick! and gorgeous teeth!
  16. Tariq Says:
no matter how many times you've watch this video, it's still damn reaky COOL.
  17. Nancie Says:
Yes David, there is life on Mars. Problem solved.
  18. Samson Says:
I think 'Life on Mars' is about a young girl kicked out of her house, and her looking for comfort at her local cinema. Unfortunatlly, "the film is a saddening bore, for she's lived it ten times or more". Of course, that's just me. :]]
  19. CARRADO Says:
Yes, there is LIFE on MARS.
  20. MALCOLM Says:
I partly agree that Bowie has never been interested in writing songs that make sense, but I do believe that many of his songs have hidden metaphors. Not hidden messages, but I think some lines are really metaphors for something else (like copping drugs, etc.) A good example would be "Panic In Detroit".
  21. Riddock Says:
He looks scary and cool n this vid. H has a great voice, but not like Freddie!
  22. INGELBERT Says:
thanks that helps coz i thought i was missing something vitallie imporatant...okiedokie
  23. Blaize Says:
Bowie has never been interested in writing songs that make any sense. I do know on this song he started with the chorus.
  24. KHAYYAT Says:
Read a book about this dude...apparently during his Ziggy Stardust phase he was so toasted to the eyeballs on coke he lost ten years of his life he cant remember.
  25. Grenville Says:
Rick Wakeman's arrangement surely put the icing on the cake for this. Two musical geniuses, brilliant writing, imaginative lyrics, incredible arrangement and playing. And what do we have on the radio today ? *SIGH* Peace:-)
